Whole Goat Milk
Healthy forage supports healthy goats that produce healthy milk. Cottage Hill Dairy is a USDA licensed Grade A whole goat milk producer. We bottle and package goat milk. Our milk is gently pasteurized and then bottled. Our pasteurization process, known as low tempreture long time vat pasteurization. Preserves the health benefits of raw milk while making the milk safe for your family. Our whole goat milk is naturally homogenized. While there may be some cream separation, gently shaking the bottle will reincorporate the cream.
Our goats are born and raised on our small farm in Beavercreek Oregon. At Cottage Hill Dairy our farm management practices ensure that our goats have constant access to fresh water, high quality feed and forage, immediate high quality veternary care, access to pasture, and freedom to express normal goat behavior. Our goats are not numbers, they all have names. We handle our goats with positive reinforcement not ‘herded’ with fear or coersion. We are actively pursuing a ‘Certified Humane’ certification for our farm. Cottage Hill Dairy is a member in good standing of the American Diary Goat Association and the local North West Dairy Goat Association. We participate in herd appraisal and breeding programs that benefit the goats and thier breed. We also participate in our local county and state fairs whenever possible. Our farm and milk is regularly inspected and tested by the Oregon Department of Agriculture to meet or exceed USDA standards for Grade A milk.
